Lying at the feet of the Pisan hills and dominated by the millenary Tower-House, Torre a Cenaia Estate has been for centuries the benchmark of the wine production of this fertile land, which has one of the most suitable soil and climate area of the western Tuscany. Ancient property of the Florentine Pitti family, it reflects the heritage handing down to posterity the pride and the noble history, embodied today in wines with a unique personality, deeply tuscan.

In the heart of Torre a Cenaia Estate, on the banks of a lake exposed to the sea-wind, the vineyard of “Casone” has been fructifing flourishing for more than thirty years. Here, thanks to a careful selection of the grapes and a hand-picked collection, the Cenaja Vermentino comes to life as our best cru wine. In the encounter between our land and the Tyrrhenian Sea, in a highly vocated terroir, under the wise guidance of a great Italian oenologist, this white wine acquires surprising tasting characteristics.

Vineyard: Cru-vineyard “Casone”. South-west exposure; Guyot espalier

Terrain: Medium clay mixture

Harvest: Third week of September

Vinification: Soft destemming, cold prefermentation and maceration in steel tanks, fermentation in vitrified cement vats at controlled temperature for 15-20 days

Refinement: Refined on lees in vitrified cement vats for 3 months

Refinement in bottle: One month

Alcohol: 13% vol

Tasting: Straw bright yellow colour with soft greenish hues. Intense and persistent bouquet with fruity and floral marked notes. Elegant, fresh, savory and velvety taste with a good structure, smooth and balanced

Food pairing: Excellent as an aperitif, it goes well with seafood, white meats, cold cuts, cheeses, mushrooms and truffles.
