Lying at the feet of the Pisan hills and dominated by the millenary Tower-House, Torre a Cenaia Estate has been for centuries the benchmark of the wine production of this fertile land, which has one of the most suitable soil and climate area of the western Tuscany. Ancient property of the Florentine Pitti family, it reflects the heritage handing down to posterity the pride and the noble history, embodied today in wines with a unique personality, deeply tuscan.

A rigorous selection of grapes gives to this Sangiovese a ruby red colour and an harmonious and velvety taste with elegant tannins.

Vineyard: Est-west exposure; Guyot espalier

Terrain: Medium clay mixture

Harvest: First ten days of October

Vinification: Fermentation carried out in vitrified cement vats at controlled temperature for 15-20 days; malolactic fermentation carried out after 10-15 days from the alcoholic fermentation

Refinement: In vitrified cement vats for 9 months

Refinement in bottle: 3 months

Alcohol: 13,5% vol

Tasting: Vivid ruby colour with violet reflex. Intense red fruits aromas with light floreal notes. The taste is fresh and armonius, well balanced with good tannins structure

Food pairing: It pairs perfectly with roasted and grilled meats, game meats, fish soups and mature cheeses

Service temperature: 18-20 °C
