Lying at the feet of the Pisan hills and dominated by the millenary Tower-House, Torre a Cenaia Estate has been for centuries the benchmark of the wine production of this fertile land, which has one of the most suitable soil and climate area of the western Tuscany. Ancient property of the Florentine Pitti family, it reflects the heritage handing down to posterity the pride and the noble history, embodied today in wines with a unique personality, deeply tuscan.

Dedicated to an extraordinary discovery in the underground of Torre a Cenaia and overseen by a great Italian winemaker, Octo is a superior red wine that is the result of a rigorous selection of two international grapes that in Torre a Cenaia best express their characteristics, thanks to a long refinement in Allier oak tonneaux.

Origin: Torre a Cenaia Ancient Pitti Estate, today owned by Terzi-Coppini families; Tuscany

Grapes: Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah

Vineyard: Est-west exposure; Guyot espalier

Terrain: Medium clay mixture

Harvest: Syrah: first ten days of September; Cabernet Sauvignon: mid-October

Vinification: Cold prefermetation and maceration, fermetation in vitrified cement vats at controlled temperature for 20-25 days. Malolactic fermentation in vitrified cement vats

Refinement: Part in vitrified cement vats and part in Allier oak tonneaux medium toasted for 12 months

Refinement in bottle: 12 months

Alcohol: 14% vol

Tasting: Ruby red color with coral reflections and purple hues. Intense, persistent and complex aroma, characterized by fruity scents, in particular blackberry and blueberry, spicy notes and aromatic herbs. Well structured and elegant taste, initially soft and with an articulated progression and a long finish. Silky and thick tannic texture. In mourh, spicy and fruity aroma

Food pairing: It goes well with roasted and grilled meats, game meats, mushrooms and aged cheeses
